If you registered for the 2017 Alpine Loop Gran Fondo and purchased a jersey but were unable to attend, your jersey will be mailed to you by Wednesday, October 3 via USPS first class shipping. Unclaimed event t-shirts were made available to participants who registered after the t-shirt guarantee deadline and to event volunteers and will not be shipped. If you attended the event and would like to purchase a 2017 jersey, we are accepting orders for another round of production now through Friday, October 13th.

2017 Cycling Celebration Dinner
The 2017 Cycling Capital Celebration, the Alpine Loop Gran Fondo pre-event dinner, will take place at Bella Luna Wood Fired Pizza, Saturday, September 30, 6-8 p.m. Located in the historic Livery Building in downtown Harrisonburg’s renowned Culinary District, Bella Luna offers authentic, handcrafted wood-fired pizzas, hand-made pastas, fresh seasonal salads, and house-made desserts. 2017 Training Ride on Course
Group Training Expedition: Sunday, August 27, 2017 You are invited join in a group training ride designed to help ready riders for the Alpine Loop, Shenandoah Mountain Century and Shenandoah Mountain Adventure routes of the 2017 Alpine Loop Gran Fondo. At the training event, participants who are ramping up for the Alpine Loop should be prepared to tackle a 71-mile ride with 7,000+ feet of climing, including unpaved roads. Equipment should be suitable for the conditions. Registration Opens Feb. 1 at 10 a.m.
Registration for the 2017 Alpine Loop Gran Fondo opens Wednesday, February 1 at 10 a.m. at BikeReg.com/GranFondo. For 2017, the event is offering 50 Early Bird Entries ($125). When all of the Early Bird Entries have been claimed, the next 100 registrants can take advantage of Start Line Discounts ($130) before standard registration goes into effect. The event is capped at 550 cyclists. Previous editions of the event have filled in advance. Hopeful participants are encouraged to register early.
